How do I become a member of Business Network Chicago?
You are welcome to attend BNC events or join our online groups without becoming an official member of BNC. Business Network Chicago tracks membership through a Yahoo group, BNC_Chicago. To join, send an email to BNC_Chicago-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or go to the BNC_Chicago group in Yahoo and click the Join This Group! button. You will begin receiving invitations to all BNC events and other relevant news.
How do I register to attend BNC events?
Click on the link of your choice under Upcoming Events on the homepage or on the event calendar. The price of admission is always greater at the door and some BNC groups do not allow walk-ins. In addition, some groups are restricted and you must obtain permission to join. For any questions, contact the leader of the group. Their contact information is included in the description of the event. A complete list of BNC groups can be found by clicking on the BNC Groups tab at the top of any page of this website.
How do I communicate with BNC members?
BNC members participate in discussions by joining our online groups. You can join our LinkedIn group and one or more of our LinkedIn subgroups, become a Facebook Fan, or join our Meetup group. You can also follow us on Twitter.
How do I control the number of emails that I receive from BNC?
When you join the BNC Yahoo group, you will automatically begin to receive your messages as individual emails. To manage your email, log into the BNC_Chicago Yahoo group and click the Edit Membership link. Scroll down to Step 2, Message Delivery, and select the message delivery option that you prefer. Yahoo provides four methods: you can get each message as an individual email, you can bundle messages into a Daily Digest which holds up to 25 individual emails, you can receive only special notices from the group moderator, or you can terminate email delivery and read messages on the Yahoo website.
How do I terminate my membership in BNC?
To terminate your membership in Business Network Chicago, send an email to BNC_Chicago-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com. The link to unsubscribe is at the bottom of every email that you receive from BNC, just click on it.
